Free Traffic Method #1: Pinterest (The free traffic method I personally use)
Transitioning from traditional SEO to leveraging a blog through platforms like Pinterest offers a compelling strategy, especially in light of recent updates to Google's algorithm.
The search generative experience introduced by Google in late 2023 now captures 20%-40% of searches directly on its platform, making it increasingly challenging for individual blogs to rank high in search results to get free Google traffic.
This is why I had to come up with a solution that avoids making search engine optimization in order to rank and get free traffic.
Why is Pinterest my favorite free traffic source:
Firstly, Pinterest stands out as a visually driven platform, where engaging images and infographics can attract significant attention and drive traffic to your blog. Unlike traditional SEO, which heavily relies on keywords and backlinks, Pinterest allows content creators to tap into the visual nature of their content, making it more shareable and discoverable, even for beginners.
Moreover, Pinterest users often come with a mindset to explore and discover new ideas, tips, and inspiration. This intent aligns perfectly with the type of content that blogs provide, making it a seamless fit for driving targeted traffic. By creating captivating pins that link back to your blog posts, you can effectively guide a highly engaged audience right to your content.
Additionally, Pinterest functions more like a search engine than a typical social media platform. Users search for specific ideas, tips, and inspiration, which means your content can be discovered long after it's been posted, offering a more sustainable source of traffic compared to the fleeting visibility on platforms like Twitter or Facebook.
Furthermore, leveraging Pinterest doesn't mean abandoning SEO altogether. In fact, optimizing your Pinterest profile and pins with relevant keywords can enhance your visibility on the platform, creating a symbiotic relationship between your Pinterest efforts and traditional SEO practices.
Lastly, diversifying your traffic sources is crucial in today's digital landscape. Relying solely on Google for traffic can be risky due to the constant changes in algorithms. Platforms like Pinterest offer an alternative route to reach your audience, ensuring your blog remains resilient against the shifts in search engine dynamics.
Free Traffic Method #2: Medium
1. Find Relevant Forums: Search for forums that are popular in your niche. This could include dedicated forums or subreddits on Reddit.
2. Follow Forum Rules: Before posting your content, make sure to understand and follow each forum's rules regarding sharing content to avoid being marked as spam.
3. Share Your Content: Instead of posting the entire blog post, share a compelling excerpt or summary that provides value and then link back to your original blog post for readers to continue reading. Engage with any comments or questions to foster community and drive engagement.
Free Traffic Method #3: LinkedIn Articles
1. Access LinkedIn Publishing: On your LinkedIn homepage, use the "Start a post" box at the top and click on "Write an article" on the bottom.
2. Make An Excerpt From Your Blog Post: Instead of posting the entire blog post, share a compelling excerpt or summary that provides value and then link back to your original blog post for readers to continue reading. Engage with any comments or questions to foster community and drive engagement. To do that excerpt, simply use ChatGPT and ask it to write a summary of your blog post. Then all you need to do is add a little call-to-action for your audience to go read the entire blog post.
3. Add a Disclaimer: At the beginning or end of the LinkedIn article, it's good practice to mention that the post was originally published on your blog, with a link back to the original blog post to provide proper attribution.
4. Publish: After ensuring your LinkedIn article is formatted correctly and includes any necessary media, publish it on LinkedIn. Use relevant hashtags to increase its reach. You can ask ChatGPT to provide you with the hashtags.
Free Traffic Method #4: Industry-Specific Forums
1. Find Relevant Forums: Search for forums that are popular in your niche. This could include dedicated forums or subreddits on Reddit.
2. Follow Forum Rules: Before posting your content, make sure to understand and follow each forum's rules regarding sharing content to avoid being marked as spam.
Free Traffic Method #5: Guest Blogging
Collaborating with bloggers or influencers in your niche for content collaboration or guest posting can significantly increase your visibility and drive traffic to your site.
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do this effectively:
1. Identify Potential Collaborators:
Research: Start by identifying blogs within your niche that share a similar audience but aren't direct competitors. Look for those with engaged audiences, as evidenced by comments and social shares.
Quality Over Quantity: Focus on those whose content quality matches or exceeds your own, ensuring that their audience expects and appreciates valuable content.
2. Build a Relationship:
Engage: Before reaching out, engage with their content by commenting on their blog posts, sharing their content on social media, and interacting with them on platforms like Twitter or LinkedIn.
Provide Value: Show genuine interest in their work and provide value without asking for anything in return initially. This can help get you noticed.
3. Craft Your Pitch:
Personalized Emails: Send a personalized email to each potential collaborator. Avoid generic messages. Reference specific blog posts you liked and mention how you've engaged with their content.
Propose Ideas: Propose a few topics that would fit their audience and explain why their readers would find value in what you have to offer. Be concise and to the point.
Mutual Benefits: Highlight the mutual benefits of the collaboration. For example, you can offer to share the post with your email list or social media followers, increasing exposure for both parties.
4. Develop Your Content:
Follow Guidelines: If they agree to a collaboration, make sure to follow any content guidelines they provide. This can include word count, formatting, and any other specifics.
High-Quality Content: Ensure the piece you contribute is of high quality, well-researched, and provides unique insights or value to their audience. You can generate these pieces of content the same way you normally do it when writing your own blog posts i.e. via ChatGPT.
Incorporate Links: Include a link back to a relevant blog post of yours, if allowed, or in your author bio. Make sure the link adds value to the readers.
5. After Publication:
Promote the Content: Once your guest post is published, promote it on your own social media channels and through your email list to drive traffic.
Engage: Monitor the post for any comments and engage with the readers. This shows appreciation and can help build further relationships with the audience.
Thank Them: Send a thank-you note to the host blogger, expressing your appreciation for the opportunity. This can help keep the door open for future collaborations.
Remember, the key to successful collaboration is to offer value both to the host blogger and their audience. Building genuine relationships within your blogging community can open doors to more opportunities and help grow your audience over time.
This concludes your training. I hope you enjoyed going through it as much as I loved making it it for you.
As you can see, it's not hard to follow, replicate and profit from this method. It just takes constancy!
If you remember, earlier I showed you a marketer that gets 4 million views per month on Pinterest. She got there by being constant and most likely by doing 2-5 pins and posts per day! But the secret to her success is clearly: CONSTANCY. Every pin she makes that lead to a blog post is money in the bank!
If you replicate what successful marketers do on Pinterest, you will be able to achieve similar results as them, as long as you are constant and patient, just like they were.
Here is the correct order you should follow to make this easy:
- Find your niche as suggested at the beginning of your training.
- Use Pinterest to find successful marketers.
- Grab their keywords and blog posts and use ChatGPT to re-write their pin descriptions and blog post, by using a different wording, while keeping the same, exact keyword. Make sure you have at least 15 blog posts up and running before asking AdSense for approval.
- Replicate their pin images and make your own, via Canva, by using different fonts and images.
- Link your Pinterest pins back to your blog posts.
Then:
- Select 1 of your blog posts and setup your lead capturing funnel: Lead capturing page, email list, email campaign.
Also...
- Make pins from time to time that link back to your lead capturing page, to build a part of your email list for free.
- Send Solo ads to your lead capturing page to build your list faster. (Optional)
- After making your initial 15 blog posts and AdSense approved you, keep on making blog posts and Pinterest pins to get a butt load of free traffic. Just keep copying successful Pinterest marketers and remain CONSTANT.
- Do it little by little. Set a goal of 2-5 blog posts + 5 pins per day. At the end of 1 year, it can only make you PASSIVE income!
- Remember that exceeding 5 pins per day will look spammy from the perspective of the Pinterest community. So if you work fast, all exceeding pins you make, should be scheduled at later dates. Besides, this will allow you to take days off, while still releasing content on autopilot, even when you are not working.
Also...
When you hit 1,000 subscribers on your email list, you can send email broadcasts using new blog posts you make and/or affiliate links to increase your profits.
Also...
- For each blog post you make, you can even use Linked-In, Medium, forums and guest blogging as extra traffic sources. If you ask me, this is something you should do only on your most productive Pinterest pins and blog posts, not for all of them. This means it's something you can do later, when you have accurate Pinterest stats and Google Analytics stats.
And before you get to work...
It's important you watch the video below to understand the kind of traffic network you will be building, to get eye balls on your AdSense ads and profit from it. If you understand that, you should be able to replicate this method quite easily.
What you might not know now is that... over a period of 1 year, Internet Marketers spend on average more than $1,000 on useless ebooks, crappy software and training that don't work... and the result is that they stay stuck, not progressing and barely making money, if any at all!
This can be easily explained: It's very hard for a beginner to 'connect the dots' and build a productive business that converts, by purchasing training after training.
You end-up with a little bit of knowledge, but nothing that is actionable! At the end of the day, it's all about: Proper set-up, buyer leads and conversions, you know it...
And the best way to get instant results online is by having your own lead capturing funnel, a solid affiliate marketing set-up, your own affiliate program to get more free traffic and even the ability to sell clicks from your email list, to MAXIMIZE & SCALE-UP without it costing you a single penny from your pocket!
If you don't know how to set-up an online business with all the building blocks as mentioned above, you are doomed to failure, I'm sure you know this by now... and this is why I can do all of that part for you...
But most importantly, if you don't want to spend your own money on trying to build your email list, you will want me to set-up your entire business + drive traffic for you, to get you started the right way, with actual BUYER leads...
